Meet the team.
Andrew builds reputations and works to protect licences to operate during times of crisis across the energy, infrastructure, sustainability and resource sectors, including power stations, oil and gas operators and the resource sector. He has supported clients during highly emotive issues, including fires at a number of residential properties in London, and also worked with clients to plan, prepare and mitigate risks during global health scare situations.
Andrew has helped foreign government direct investment funds to navigate the UK stakeholder and regulatory landscape and invest in strategic infrastructure projects, and supports leading power generation developers in securing planning consent, protecting reputation, engaging with stakeholders and managing industrial relations activity.
He has led on campaign launches for the G20-backed, Global Infrastructure Hub and ran the press office for a North Yorkshire hydraulic fracturing organisation seeking to frack for the first time in the UK.
Last year, Andrew helped to launch the innovative Hydrogen Taskforce, drawing together major players in the hydrogen sector to engage with UK Government with a unified voice. His work in the planning sector also secured a landmark decision in greenbelt, supporting some of the UK’s leading developers including Gatwick Airport and some of the UK’s largest solar farms. Prior to joining Madano he worked for the UK’s leading resource firm, Viridor, and its parent company, FTSE 250-listed Pennon Group, along with Newgate Communications.
