Design Director, Creative
Want to help ground-breaking organisations tell their stories creatively?
Helping to drive the creative direction of campaigns and working closely with Arian Oldroyd, our Creative Director, this Design Director would understand typography, layout, animation, quality control, planning and design process.
Working as part of Madano’s Creative Practice, the Design Director would be a key team member, offering strategic input to creative meetings and sharing ideas, producing attractive and effective designs for all media, work with the wider team at Madano, along with external and internal clients to provide excellent customer service.
The Design Director would be accountable for project briefs, responsible for establishing the brief accurately, provide estimates on time and costs of delivery, to different milestones, provide design concepts, present options for treatment, work to the deadlines set, proof and produce / amend final design.
The Fundamentals
- A natural creative ‘flair’ and strong visual sense
- Strong commercial understanding and project management
- Ability to create original design concepts, in scope and on time
- High level of attention to detail
- Flexible and practical approach, to adapt to a changing brief and broader landscape
- Motivation to strive for and achieve excellent design standards for self and team members
- Articulate in creative ideas
- Sound verbal and written communication skills and ability to present ideas and information
- Ability to mentor and nurture talent, taking accountability for quality within the team
- Desire to identify new, improved ways of working to increase efficiencies
- Be able to build trusted relationships with team members and clients
